My name is Chris, and I'm studying journalism in beautiful Florida. Since moving down here, my perspective on life has dramatically changed from when I lived more north. I don't exactly know how to describe it, but this blog is an attempt to explain my recent thoughts and realizations.

I admit to writing about seemingly disconnected topics, but hopefully they come together by the end of each post to create conversation or at least stir thought of some hidden worth.

Whether or not the salty ocean air and excess sun has physically altered my brain beyond repair, I hope my thoughts neither confuse, nor bore you.

To have a true reality check, you must put your version of truth aside, or at least admit there exists a possibility that you could be misinformed, misguided or mistaking. Otherwise, evolution of thought will never occur. I resign my ego and admit I don't know all sides, nor do I have the best or most original ideas.

The goal is to jump-start a resuscitation of the mind, yours and mine alike, so we can better experience reality despite our human limitations. A true reality check forces you to look at the world differently and in a more wakeful way, so don't be afraid to let your brain make new connections. This is what I hope to do for myself and the reader alike.
